Summer Updates and What’s Ahead

Happy end-of-the season, and congratulations to everyone who went to nationals! Get just a bit of rest before starting prep. For those readers going to camp, have a great time!

Even though competitions are over, part of my pre-season studying will be focused on learning the technicalities of circuit LD and Policy (think kritiks, disads, theory shells). As physicist Frank Oppenheimer said, “The best way to learn is to teach.”, which is why my next series of posts will be digging into the nitty-gritty of circuit debate. Once competitions start again, I’m sure your questions will follow, and I’ll get back to those then. Until that time, we can learn something helpful together.

One final thing: I’m taking college tours this summer, so I may do a feature a post or two focusing on a given university’s team. Just so you know, this blog is not currently sponsored by any schools (not even my own), businesses, or other organizations, so all content regarding colleges/services/products is my honest opinion. If I do become sponsored, I will let you all know accordingly. Until then, you’ll get to know the good, bad, and ugly of everything.

Have a great summer and keep an eye out for new posts!
